  • Amanda Fish Photography… {the blog}!

Hello... and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! This is the place where I will post client sneak peeks, news, promotions, and seasonal events. In addition, I often feel the need to post about my own crazy life and kids. So stay tuned often!

I am a natural light, on-location photographer specializing in Children's portraiture who loves capturing individuality and the beauty within. In addition, I have an amazing husband, am a mom of two beautiful boys, love coffee, smile at the thought of drinks with good friends, sing really loud in my car and feel blessed everyday that I get to do what I love! Photography is an adventure for me. Each day I feel inspired by color, emotion, laughter and light. I thank all who have joined me in this journey and look forward to the many more amazing people I will meet along the way.

Today is a good day! My little sister and brother-in-law were blessed with the birth of their first child, Nora Alice Brandt, last night and I couldn’t be more proud. I cannot wait to meet my new niece.

In addition, this post features sweet Emery who recently turned one! It was such an honor to photograph her again and watch her do a little cake smash to celebrate this milestone.

today, we shared a passion. [omaha, ne child photographer]

For awhile now, Brandon has enjoyed taking pictures. I distinctively remember a moment we had this summer where he took some images during one of our family outings. While looking through them together I commented on his amazing shots and talent. His face lit up and his eyes got teary. He told me how much those words meant to him coming from me. I was surprised because I think we all doubt ourselves and our abilities from time to time. However, in his 7-year-old eyes I was the best photographer in the world and for me to compliment his skills was like telling him he was just like me! It was in that moment where I was reminded of the power of parent/child relationships. We are their worlds and our words carry so much weight in shaping their characters.

I cannot wait to watch him grow as a person, artist or whatever he wishes to become. Today, he wanted to be a photographer just like his mommy! And, if just for a day… I wanted to document our shared passion.

So, here is Brandon having a “session” with Charlie…

The boys are enjoying their day off and wanted to wish you all a very happy Monday!

Sweet baby Colin did an amazing job at his first photo session. Big brother kept me entertained during breaks and got in on a little photo action himself. These two are so sweet and I truly enjoyed our time together.

Photographing sweet Finley was such a joy! She had her serious face on for most of our time together but did manage to showcase her smile for at least one shot. With this crazy weather we were able to venture outside for awhile as well. She is absolutely beautiful!
